ดอกรวงผึ้งจะเบ่งบานในช่วงเดือนกรกฎาคม-สิงหาคม ผลิดอกได้นาน ๗-๑๐วัน เมื่อดอกสีเหลืองบานพร้อมกันทั้งต้น จะดูงดงามอร่ามตา และส่งกลิ่นหอมชื่นใจตลอดทั้งวัน ทั้งนี้ต้นรวงผึ้งยังมีความสำคัญคือเป็นพรรณไม้ประจำพระองค์สมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวมหาวชิราลงกรณ บดินทรเทพยวรางกูร รัชกาลที่ ๑๐ เนื่องด้วยดอกรวงผึ้งมีสีเหลืองซึ่งเป็นสีประจำวันพระราชสมภพ และผลิดอกช่วงวันพระราชสมภพพอดี เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จฯ กอปรพระราชกรณียกิจตามสถานที่ต่างๆ ก็จะทรงปลูกต้นรวงผึ้งพระราชทานไว้เพื่อเป็นตัวแทนแห่งพระองค์ท่านและเพื่อเป็นสิริมงคลแก่ราษฎร เรียบเรียงโดย...ธิดารัตน์
